Pre-K Art Classes

During the school year, there are five sessions. Morning or afternoon classes are available to fit your schedule. The classes are designed for 4 – 6 year olds.

At the Franklin Art Center, we nurture your children’s curiosity and imagination while developing art skills and knowledge in a fun environment. Our small class size provides our 4-6 year olds with individual attention, hands-on activities, stories, and unique artistic explorations in a wide variety of media. The curriculum is based on the Massachusetts Visual Arts Frameworks.

Session 4 Mar 2 - May 2 (No classes April 3 & 19-26) Spring for Art
Session 5 May 5 - June 27 (No classes May 23-25) Summer Fun

1.5 hour class | $200 per session (Both days can be attended, see Class Bundles below for discount rate.)

If class time is open, Play dates may be arranged. Great for Mom's groups.

Open studio

Mini Matisse (4-6 year olds): Students will work on colors, shapes, and patterns while learning about artists and seasonal topics. We will work on cutting, tearing, folding paper, and other fine motor preschool skills while creating drawings and paintings. Students will gain self-confidence and self-esteem in the process.

Petite Picasso (4-6 year olds):Petite Picasso is a pre-school class focusing on lines, patterns, and shapes while learning about artists and seasonal topics. Students will understand and draw basic shapes, follow directions, and improve self-confidence and self-esteem while creating art.

Art Adventures (4-6 year olds):Art Adventures is another pre-school class that focuses on exploring the arts and allowing children to express themselves through the use of a wide variety of mediums. We will work on developing fine motor skills and inspiring young artists’ imagination while learning new skills.

15% discounts are applied to Mini Matisse and Petite Picasso classes taken together.

We offer individualized fine art instruction to students ages 4 - Adult. With the passing of the Goals 2000: Educate America Act, the arts were written into Federal law as a core academic subject in K–12 public schools. Franklin Art Center is focused on enhancing our students skills to an advanced level.
